i want to update, but not sure what to say.

i'm looking forward to only 18 more days of waking up at 6ish in the morning.

i'm looking forward to not having to leave places at 9pm in order to be in bed ontime.

i'm looking forward to being employeed by ONE not 2 or 3 companies.

i'm looking forward to hiking/camping over memorial day weekend

i'm looking forward to my mom coming to visit.

i'm looking forward to jake's parents coming to town, and maybe Andrew as well.

i'm looking forward to Improv night tomorrow

i'm looking forward to the season finale of lost Wednesday.

i love life

i love Jesus

i love faithful wonderful friends

that's about all i have to say about that...

oh, and i watched Bangkok Dangerous last week with Jake, I really enjoyed it, There was a deaf Thai woman portrayed in the movie, but as i was writing this I decided to look her up...apparently it was a hearing Chinese woman...Charlie Yeung. That makes me sad. Why couldn't they get a talented Deaf actress to play the role? that's dumb, and i now don't like the movie as much as i had a few minutes ago. I'm going to end this, and read more up on that....

that's about all.
thanks AS always for reading. I"LL really try to get some pics loaded up....it's just a time issue..

then again

i look forward to having time to upload my awesome pics of the awesome things that God allows me to be involved in.....smiles. Praise Jesus!

Blockbuster vs. Netflix

I'm a very passionate person.

If I like something, I like for everyone I know to know about whatever "it" is, and therefore for them to become apart of it.

I was a huge fan of blockbuster online. It was a good deal...good price, and I could get the movies I wanted from their warehouse, and they wouldn't be scratched...like so often had happened with their videos/dvds through the store.

HOWEVER, sometime ago, lets just say, OCT. they decided to up the price of the package we were signed up for...almost doubling the fee. We opted to stick with the price we had been accustomed to, but that meant we were limited in how many we could rent each month.

We stuck with it for 6 months, but as my schedule for work will be changing soon, and we found another company that has a competitive rate, and sounded convincing on how quickly they can send movies out to us.....

Low and behold..(not sure what that means...but it just sort of came out.) I signed up for Netflix yesturday...free 2 week trial, and my first selection (Shakespeare in Love,....i still haven't seen that...) should arrive TOMORROW! I'm so happy. I think we made a good choice, and are saving some money too!

(We don't go OUT to movies very often...trying to be good with our money, so I think $9 a month for all the movies that we would want to watch is a great deal!)

although..side note

with all these great movies coming out in the next few months, Wolverine, Star Trek, Harry Potter....we might have to give in and go to the big screen. I think the last time I went to the theater was for Twilight. ...seems like a long time ago, but it was opening...Matinee..so I did try to go cheap..

as always, thanks for reading...and feel free to comment about what you've been watching.

(if it were 100% I'd think something was wrong.)

I just thought i'd share.

yeah for us.

thanks for all your support.

God is great!

10th Kingdom...

Have you ever heard of this...movie/tv special...not sure what you call it. It was on tv some time ago, but they've released it on DVD...it has Brad Paisley's wife...(Father of the Bride...the bride.) and Max from Gilmore girls, and John Laroquette, and the mom from Edward Scissorhands...and Willow...quite the cast....(i don't remember actors names sometimes, but i will often recognize them!)

it's total cheese, but i love it...some of the one liners are awesome...
...suck an elf!
...huff puff!...etc...
Jake and I are watching it right now and are REALLY enjoying it!!!

elizabeth and rebecca and i watched it before they left on their crazy euro trip....and we had food that is somewhat featured in the show and it was a blast...

SO...if you like fantasy and a good story...you should check it out

Easter...nothing traditional about it!

Hey there. I wish I had taken a few pics this weekend, but I didn't. I'll try to make a better effort to do so next weekend.

Anyhoo.

So Sunday, the big day.

Jake and I picked up our friend Corey to go to church. (His wife is learning some crazy Yoga/Kalari something or other...and couldn't make it to the service.)

We attended the morning service, then the boys played chess during the second service...I helped out in e-kids...(our kids church.) I thought how they ran things was so much fun. Each kid got a colored name tag....that corresponded with 6 colored pails filled with 6 different colored plastic eggs. Each colored group had an adult leader, and an other youth to be the helper, and then the kids were dispersed from there.

(The groups were a little small, so we combined each group with another color. I was in the Pink and Purple group...I like to match my clothes with things I do, so I had on 2 pink accesories, so I chose the pink group.)

Each egg had something inside related to what Jesus went through with the cross and on to the Resurrection. I thought it was really creative...and practical....One was a candy rope..to show he was bound, and the last one was a candle, to show he was the light, and one was a life saver...for obvious reasons, and one was a nail....we wrote down something we wanted to give over to God/Jesus, and then we nailed it to the cross...the kids did the nailing themselves...(with a little bit of help.)

I wasn't sure if i'd like helping in the back...meaning kids church, but i felt like i had something to give to these kids...and there's a huge need for helpers, so as much as I didn't want to wake up early for the AM service...(it starts at 930am..so it's NOT that early!) I really like helping..so i think i'll stick with it for awhile, till /or if i feel burnt out.

POINT BEING: the rest of the day.

Jake and I took corey home and then headed home to make monkey bread, and eggs benedict...then erin and corey came over..(they needed to skype their neices and take care of their animals....) we ate!!!(it was alll soo yummy I LOVE EGGS BENEDICT...by far my fav breakfast!) then we played...

KILLER BUNNIES AND THE QUEST FOR THE MAGIC CARROT...

it was erin's idea earlier in the week...and i thought it quite appropriate.....it was a good game..i thought well played....( well i had a bunny triplet the whole time and the heavenly halo...so i was hard to beat!) BUT Corey actually won....it was good times..

then we switched gears and watched Slumdog MIllionare...not really in the theme for Easter per se, but it was something we all had wanted to watch..and we really liked it...
my only question:

why were the captions so small...and i'm not talking about the menu , subtitles option, i'm talking about when the kids were talking in hindi, there was a translation, but it was so small, we all had to move our chairs closer into the tv to read it....

Then the boys gravitated into the kitchen for more chess and erin and i just sat chatting for a long time.

It was a wonderful easter...we didn't see family, or really talk to anyone....it was different...and for this easter...different was good.

I don't think that will be something that happens every easter...but being that E and C were new in town and were without family, i'm glad we were able to spend that time together.

That's that!

Until later, and as ALWAYS....

thanks for reading.

Grand Canyon pics...better late than never.

The Trail Head

I think this one above is my favorite.

And quite Grand it is.

This one of Jake is from our road trip back home. We stopped through Zions. It was a beautiful drive.
